Health Outreach Program

We’re leveling the playing field by building the largest network of Black healthcare providers to eliminate healthcare disparities for Black men and ensure they receive the high-quality care they deserve.

How We Work

Engage

We recruit and train Black barbers to act as the trusted messengers of their communities and offer their clients the chance to be privately screened by a physician in a familiar and comfortable space.

Screen

We recruit and deploy Black healthcare professionals to barbershop events, where they educate and screen clients seeking health assessments and next-step guidance.

refer

We direct screened patients to the closest healthcare provider based on physician guidance and ensure the facility accepts their insurance or helps them enroll in Medicare/Medicaid.

Our Impact Resonates

We’ve already made history by screening over 30,000 Black men for diabetes and high blood pressure across the country. To date, it has been the largest effort of its kind to address healthcare disparities among Black communities.

But, the work isn’t anywhere close to being done. Help us do more.
